Hike Nova Scotia is hiring a Youth Hiking Coordinator intern to help Hike NS increase its capacity to get more young people outside enjoying parks, hiking trails and other green spaces. This is a 15-week, full-time paid internship position. The Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the Young Hikers Program, which supports hiking clubs at schools, after school programs and other organizations. The Coordinator will also assist in coordinating the Hiker Challenge program, with an emphasis on youth earning hike badges. Because the position is supported by a youth wage subsidy program, this opportunity is only available to youth (up to age 30) who face various barriers to employment.
