Reports to: Executive Director (ED)
Location: Primarily onsite at OHC. Some travel within the Municipality of Chester is required. Hybrid work options may be considered at the discretion of OHC after the successful completion of the probationary period.
Term: 1-year term from start date, with possibility of renewal.
Regular Hours: 30-37.5 hours per week. The schedule will be determined based on programming and other operational requirements. Some evenings and weekends will be required.
Compensation: $19-$21 per hour, based on experience. Benefits package includes extended health, dental, and employer RRSP contributions, which commence after the successful completion of a probationary period.
Position Summary________________________________________
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Program Coordinator will collaborate with staff, community members, and partner organizations to plan, coordinate, and implement programs promoting the health and well-being of the communities OHC serves. This role involves community outreach, program development and coordination, budget support, and facilitation.

Qualifications Required_____________________________________
Education and Experience
- Post-secondary education in health promotion, community development, social work, recreation, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience coordinating community-based programs.

Skills and Competencies
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience with program evaluation, data collection and compilation, report writing, and program budget coordination.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while working in a small community.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based, interdisciplinary environment.
- Comfort working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including newcomers, Indigenous peoples, 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, and those experiencing systemic barriers.
- Strong understanding of the social determinants of health and their impact on health and well-being.
Other Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, Meta Business Suite and/or similar applications.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed.
- A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check recent within 1 year, or ability to obtain within 3 months.
- Standard First Aid is considered an asset.
