Board Member

Roots and Boots Forest School is a board governed not-for-profit providing opportunities for children in the areas of Fall River and Upper Tantallon to fall in love with nature through safe, unstructured play time in the forest.

Roots and Boots is now accepting expressions of interest from potential, volunteer board members for the following positions:

Board Treasurer:

-Maintains a leadership role on the Board’s finance committee

-Provides occasional support for bookkeeping and office administration staff

-Helps prepare and present quarterly financial reports to the Board and presents the audited financial statements at the AGM

-Assists staff/board with identification and implementation of best-practices for financial record keeping and reporting

-Participates in the preparation of the annual budget

General Board Member:

-Attends quarterly board meetings

-Belongs to a working group in the area of their skill/interest including finance, marketing, HR, fundraising or others

-Meets regularly with working group to forward organizational goals
