The Survivors of Abuse Recovering Society (S.O.A.R™) invites passionate, skilled professionals to join our Board of Directors and help shape the future of trauma recovery support in our community.
Who We Are
S.O.A.R™ is dedicated to empowering adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse through peer support, creating pathways to healing and recovery. Our work breaks the silence surrounding childhood trauma and builds a community where survivors can thrive.

Mission: Supporting and empowering adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse in their recovery from trauma through peer support.
Vision: A world where silence and stigma around childhood sexual abuse have ended and survivors are thriving.

Trauma-informed: We create physically, psychologically, and emotionally safe environments that acknowledge and respond to the impact of trauma.

Your Impact as a Board Member
As a S.O.A.R™ board member, you will
- Help guide an organization making a profound difference in survivors’ lives
- Apply your professional expertise to strengthen our governance and operations
- Connect with a network of dedicated community leaders and advocates
- Develop new skills in the non-profit and trauma-informed service sectors
We seek dedicated allies with expertise in:
- Organizational leadership
- Financial management
- Fund development (fundraising, outreach, grant writing)
- Strategic planning
- Communication and community outreach
