Help us learn more about the Community Impact Sector and be entered for a prize!

Are you curious about the Labour Market Information for the Impact Sector in Nova Scotia?

In cooperation with the Association of Industry Sector Councils (AISC), IONS and 13 other industry sector councils are conducting a province-wide survey to gather information about recruitment, retention, and employment in Nova Scotia. The information being collected will be anonymized, displayed on our dashboard (located here) and used to gain sector specific insights into current trends and challenges during this time of rapid change.  

Through the Labour Market Insights survey we can gain an understanding on questions such as: 

    • Are global trends are showing up locally – is “The Great Resignation” happening here?  
    • Are people leaving sectors because pay is too low, or entering because there are more opportunities?  
    • Are people struggling to attract the right employees to work, or are people finding the right jobs for their skillset? 

At IONS, we will be analyzing the data collected to better tailor our programming to the Community Impact Sector. We seek to understand what’s happening on the ground with impact organizations in the province so that we can advocate, offer inspiration, develop resources, and adjust our work to help address the challenges we are facing as a sector.

    We’re making it fun! Every 2 weeks we will be drawing for a $100 visa gift card which will go to a lucky survey respondent. Your name will be entered into each draw if you have the survey completed before the draw date. So, the earlier you get your responses in, the more chances you have to win! We will videotape the draw in our social media stories and contact the winners by email.

    Please note: If you would like to fill out the survey but would not like to be entered into the prize draw, there is a question within the survey where you are able to indicate that preference.

    The deadline to complete the survey is MAY 1, 2023.
